Professional Development

Here at Flowing Wells School District, we offer outstanding opportunities for teacher renewal and growth for both our new and returning teachers. We recognize the value of teachers with multiple skills and so our program addresses the renewal and improvement of instructional delivery in the classroom. This model has received numerous honors over the past two decades and offers differentiated staff development that is matched to the level of a teacher's expertise.

Teachers new to Flowing Wells participate in the New Teacher Induction Program (aligned with the Arizona Teaching Standards).

One unique thing about professional development and support in Flowing Wells is that it never stops, even after your first year. As an instructional coach, I am privileged to work with 2nd and 3rd-year teachers to help them refine their craft while observing their classrooms. But that's not all—I learn new things too from observing them! I am grateful that Flowing Wells supports teacher growth well past the "new" stages of teaching.
