Are you a college graduate looking to teach Special Education K-12?

Are you a college graduate looking to teach Special Education (grades K-12, Mild-Moderate Disabilities)?

1. The first step is to review the Special Education Master of Arts Mild-Moderate Disabilities information.

2. Contact Dr. Toni Sparks, Program Director, ([email protected]) to discuss the program in more detail.

3. After meeting with Dr. Sparks, you should apply to the Special Education Master of Arts Mild-Moderate Disabilities Program through the UA Graduate College site. Preference given to students applying for Fall of each academic year before January 31st; applications will continue to be accepted until filled.

4. Finally, you will need to apply by March 1 to the Teaching Fellows program, selecting your first and second district of your choice. Application will open no later than January 1 and can be accessed here.

5. Once you are ADMITTED to a teacher preparation program AND YOU APPLY to the Teaching Fellows Program, the districts will review your application. They will then interview selected applicants, based on their content area and grade level needs. Following the interviews, the districts will select the Fellows for their districts in early spring.
