Are you a community college student?

Are you a community college student interested in teaching Early Childhood (grades PreK to 3rd), Elementary Education (K to 8th), or Special Education (K-12th Mild-Moderate Disabilities)?

1. The first step is to meet with a UA College of Education advisor. Once ideal term of admittance is determined, you will apply to the University of Arizona via the Transfer Admissions application.

2. Then, you will need to apply to the teacher preparation program of your choice (typically in the spring of your sophomore year if you are full-time, by the 2nd Friday in February). For more information about the process and required documents, please see here

3. Finally, you will need to apply by March 1 to the Teaching Fellows program, selecting your first and second district of your choice. Application will open no later than January 1 and can be accessed here

4. Once you are ADMITTED to a teacher preparation program AND YOU APPLY to the Teaching Fellows Program, the districts will review your application. They will then interview selected applicants, based on their content area and grade level needs. Following the interviews, the districts will select the Fellows for their districts in early spring.
