Kindergarten Registration

Kinder Roundup

Two students engage in a learning activity during Kindergarten Roundup

Although it may feel early to be thinking about the first day of school, our future kindergartners and their families may want to. Each of our six elementary schools in Flowing Wells will begin their Kindergarten Roundups in March. Now, the name may sound like some lasso-swinging Rodeo fun, but in reality the term is all about registering soon-to-be Kinder Kiddos early, so our schools are best prepared to serve all of the little learners coming their way. Following early enrollment, schools and kindergarten teachers will host families for orientations prior to the start of the 2017-18 school year. Here, you and your child have the opportunity to get to know both the teachers and new learning environment.

Each Flowing Wells elementary school offers full-day kindergarten at no cost to parents. Within these hours, our masterful kindergarten teachers engage learners in systematic phonics; guided, leveled reading; student-centered mathematics; inquiry-based science explorations; and positive social interactions. Our schools provide enrichment time each day in the areas of computers, physical education, music, and library. Our sites monitor student progress and are prepared to provide additional support services to ensure appropriate growth in early literacy. All Flowing Wells schools are open-enrollment and would happily discuss whether their kindergarten program is the right fit for your little one. If anyone you know has a child who will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2017 – please invite them to visit our campuses on the following dates or call for more information.
